We service most makes and models and carry the highest quality replacement parts and new products from manufacturers with reputations in excellence.   • Our technicians come stocked with most parts for a wide variety of makes and models of automatic garage door openers and aim to complete any necessary repairs on the first visit. We service all major brands such as (but not limited to) Liftmaster Professional, Chamberlain, Craftsman, and Genie. We offer a wide variety of garage door opener parts from internal gears, circuit boards, receiver kits, and battery back ups to remote controls and outside wireless keypads. We make sure that, in most cases, we provide brand specific parts vs universal parts for the openers to ensure quality and optimal functionality.

  • At O’Brien, we carry heavy-duty steel garage door parts including, but not limited to, cables, hinges, rollers, bearings, end bearing plates, torsion tubes, safety cables, pulleys, drums, and springs. We install steel ball-bearing rollers with a nylon coating for very smooth and quiet operation. Doors that are often on homes when they are built may have plastic rollers, or the rollers may simply be warped or worn down over time. Many times, changing the rollers will completely change the functioning of the garage door and opener system. Our professionally trained technicians are happy to assist with any questions regarding garage door parts and, if necessary or requested, will be fully stocked with most commercial-grade steel parts to install on your garage door system.

  • Faulty or warped panels can be an indication of structural issues with your door, and if not addressed, can over time lead to misalignment of the garage door and excessive wear on the automatic door opener. Whether you have structural or only cosmetic damage on a panel of your garage door, rather than change the entire door, you may prefer to change only one panel. We are happy to come and take a look at the make, model, size, and color of your garage door in order to make sure we get a proper quote on the part and installation for the exact panel your door requires.

  • Do you have wind, rain, or rodents coming through your garage door because it is not sealed properly? We are happy to provide a wide variety of bottom seals for the bottom of the door(s) and vinyl trims that go around the door to match your particular garage door and help keep the weather and pests out.

  • It is very important that at all times the garage door system is properly aligned and balanced. If it is not, it can cause the door to come off the track, get jammed, cause damage to the garage door opener, or cause damage to the door. As well, if the garage door springs have not been properly tensioned the door can become very heavy, thus causing severe damage to the garage door opener, since the opener is only supposed to assist the garage door in its going up vs doing the lifting of the door. The springs are what do the lifting of the door, and if a door is properly balanced, when disconnected from the opener, should be able to be lifted with one hand by most individuals.

  • The safety reversal system of your garage door opener is one of the most important aspects of keeping your garage door opener functioning properly and keeping your family safe. If your safety sensors are in proper working order, when something is in the way of them or crosses the barrier, it will cause the door to reverse for safety measures. If your door is reversing or not opening and closing properly, it is possible that you are in need of an adjustment to or replacement of the safety sensors.

  • There are two types of springs on a garage door, extension or torsion, and within those categories, there are many different springs and combinations of springs that each individual door will take that will be different from other doors. Our professionally trained technicians will assess the size, weight, and manufacturer of the garage door(s) and will make sure the proper spring or combination of springs is installed on your door for proper functioning and safety. We always recommend having an expert change your spring(s) for you, as there is quite a bit of torque on garage door springs and the process of installation can pose very dangerous if one is not experienced and has the proper winding tools. An important note as well is that when only one spring is broken on a dual spring system where the springs were installed at the same time, we highly recommend replacing both springs. They will generally have the same lifecycle, and if one has broken, the second one will likely break in the near future. Having them replaced at the same time will save trip and labor fees incurred for a second visit.

  • Our comprehensive garage door tune-up includes inspecting the entire door system, lubricating all moving parts, checking the safety reversal system, and inspecting the door for proper balancing.
